thinking about bell hooks' commentary on black men...
mmmm hmmm.
and how the counterargument is often, “you aren’t one of us, so how can you say anything?”
the problem w/ that, to me, is that the critiques that tend to be most filled w/ erroneous assumptions (and even skewed information!) come from a privileged person assessing marginalized peoples.
& then i had to ask, what privilege could hell hooks POSSIBLY have over ALL...
